Data Persistence Test

Test that spreadsheet data persists across refreshes

🧪 Test Steps

Step 1: Open Spreadsheet

Click the button below to open the spreadsheet in a new tab:

Step 2: Add Test Data

  1. In the spreadsheet, load "test.log"
  2. Add some data to cells (e.g., A1: "Hello", B1: "World")
  3. Add a title (e.g., in any cell: "TITLE A Name")
  4. Watch the status bar for save confirmations

Step 3: Test Persistence

  1. Click the "Refresh" button in the spreadsheet
  2. Verify that your data is still there
  3. Close and reopen the spreadsheet tab
  4. Load "test.log" again and verify data persists

✅ Expected Behavior

What should work:
  • Data entered in cells should be saved to local storage
  • Refresh button should reload data from local storage
  • Closing and reopening should preserve data
  • Console should show detailed logging of data operations
  • Status bar should show save confirmations
What was broken (now fixed):
  • Refresh was only polling for new data, not reloading existing data
  • Data was being cleared on refresh instead of preserved
  • No proper data clearing before reloading
